Remembering 9-11

Today, many politicians will stand at a podium and bow their heads. Then they'll read a speech about never forgetting. Then tomorrow will arrive. The politicians will be right back to where they were on September 10. They will have forgotten.
I sound harsh, I know. Perhaps I'm unfairly picking on a few politicians who don't deserve the criticism. If so, I apologize. But facts are facts, and actions speak louder than words. Thus, if they really remembered... if they really cared... if they really wanted to ensure an event like 9/11 will never happen again, then why is it nothing gets done to prevent illegal immigration and visa violation?
I'll never forget running from the Twin Towers. I'll never forget the people I saw jumping from the windows 80-stories above Manhattan. I'll never forget the folks who died in DC and PA. I'm proud to say my actions speak louder than my words.
To the families who lost their loved ones, please know, I truly will never forget.
